Let’s start off with a reader participation question:  What should be the first three official acts of the new Trump presidency?  You can add more if you wish!  Send your ideas to me.

Battle Lines:  Whew, it didn’t take long.  Kamala’s speech was more of a challenge of Trump’s presidency than it was a concession speech.  Now, the ACLU is getting ready for Trump’s next presidency.  I received an email from them today that states the following:

“…it's official: Donald Trump has been elected to a second term.
“During Trump's first term, my fellow ACLU lawyers and I filed 434 legal actions challenging the Trump administration's catastrophic policies separating families at the border, denying immigrant minors access to abortion care, greenlighting discrimination against LGBTQ people, and more.”
and

“I know that I speak for every attorney here at the ACLU when I say that we're more than ready to show up and put up the fight of the century against the most lawless, dangerous president in our nation's history.”

Of course, at the letter’s end they ask for money.  

One of our faithful readers, Bryan Neilsen,  brought up an excellent point about the bureaucrats that must surrender their positions as Trump’s team is seated:

“In a company, when there’s a layoff or when someone’s fired, a very specific process takes place. Upon being notified of their termination, the newly terminated employee(s) are immediately accompanied by security personnel. They are escorted to HR and briefed on their termination and any benefits they are to receive. They are then escorted back to their desk or office and allowed to pack up their personal belongings. After that, they are escorted to the door. At no point are they allowed access to company resources as their computer access rights have been revoked and accounts suspended.
“While this treatment seems to be harsh, there are very good reasons why this is necessary. They can be summed up in one term: Business continuity.
“When a person is terminated from a job, they are capable of anything. Harming computer systems or business assets on the way out the door is a very real threat and has happened many times. That’s why terminations are handled in the aforementioned fashion; to prevent business disruption.

And then we have American elections.

“While I know that replacing bureaucrats from one administration with another is more of a complex task than replacing a business analyst or data entry person, why do we give an outgoing administration 2 and a half months to muck up the works before shown the door. As we’ve seen over the past decade, these are NOT honorable people and many have demonstrated that they do not deserve benefit of doubt. Remember the outgoing Obama administration and how he stacked the FBI, NSA, etc with loyalists?

“Since it’s obvious to anyone with 2 functioning brain cells that Biden/Harris weren’t really running anything – I say, let the transitioning begin now! After all – Last Tuesday/Wednesday they were fired by the American People… Treat them accordingly.

I like how Bryan ends his note:  Take over now because they are doing nothing anyway!

The Clinton team vandalized offices as they left them for the Bush team; I don’t think the Obama team vandalized, possibly because they were in shock over Trump’s win.  

One of my favorite writers, Ann Coulter, was very witty today in discussing Kamala by printing up her political scorecard:

“Harris’ race and gender was how Biden got stuck with her in the first place — an amazing choice for VP, considering that she’d accused him of racism during the primary, and also that she hadn’t won a single vote.

 “This is how Democrats ended up running a dingbat who’d cheered on the BLM riots, enthusiastically released violent criminals from prison, insisted on taxpayer-funded sex change operations for prisoners and illegal aliens, compared ICE agents to the Ku Klux Klan, completely believed Jussie Smollett’s hoax hate crime, supported defunding the police and said she wanted to decriminalize illegal immigration.
