Hillbillies and Nutcases

Perhaps a few of you will remember the old Gunsmoke series with James Arness as Marshal Dillon; he had a sidekick named Festus Hagen.  Festus was played by the actor Ken Curtis, who I first saw in the old TV series “Ripcord.” 

That show led to my interest in skydiving.   Anyway -

Festus carried a grudge with some guy who had shot part of his ear off, “just the little hangy down part.”  His grudge was irreconcilable. Even if Festus got arrested and jailed for even the score, he wanted revenge.

 

That kind of mindset is what we now have with today’s democrats.  Their behavior that is directed against Trump is akin to the anger and impulse of a hillbilly family feud.  They don’t care what they may lose, as long as they get revenge over that other clan, the MAGA clan.

Just today, an old skydiving friend wrote this on my Facebook page:  

“the leftists hate what the country is trying to become - a right wing white supremacist dictatorship. Or maybe oligarchy. But they want it to be male, pale, and stale. No room for anyone else as an equal.”

I was aghast after reading this. It reeks of communist influences! How did somebody convince the writer, Dave, of all those lies? There’s a whole hillbilly clan that thinks this way.

Trump is bringing our nation back toward its constitutional design by cutting out billions of dollars of waste and fraud.  Obviously, that was a major funding operation for the democrat cult. They need to stop Trump.

Trump is sending back thousands of illegal aliens; that was a major voting bloc for the democrat cult.  They must stop Trump.

As Jare explained about the democrats: 

I mean their refusal to see any illogical bus from the Biden administration; the ignorance of his traitorous actions and EO's, the military, the outright border fiasco. The weaponization of DOJ AND FBI. COVID and on and on...But, let Trump sneeze and they claim he's doing it wrong! Any little thing! They can not see and understand their hypocrisy. The double standards are invisible. TDS is "real!"

Author and blogger Victor Davis Hanson of the Daily Signal, explained that the democrat opposition was a tripartite, a threefold opposition: the pollsters, the media, and the democrat party, composing the institutionalized left.  Hanson identified how the leftist press, mainly the New York Times, was under-polling conservative voters to attain their anti-Trump polling figures. 

This media manipulation is common in communist circles.  What should we do?

We call them out on their bias!  Here’s Vice President JD Vance at a cabinet meeting yesterday:

“The most underreported fact of the first 100 days is that we came in with a massive recruitment shortfall, and in 100 days, Secretary Hedgseth and President Trump’s leadership, we now have people breaking down the doors to join our Military.

To the media assembled here, it's a really interesting question. Why is that happening?  Completely aside from the fact that I think it's a good thing, I think President Trump deserves political credit for it; why did we go from a military where people didn't want to serve, to now, all of a sudden, they do want to serve. 

That's a story you guys [points to the media reporters] should cover; but compared to that, how much time have you instead focused on the fact that we deported an MS-13 gang member with a valid deportation order, and why is it that the press is so focused on the fake BS rather than what's really going on in the country?   

I think that what we have shown, sir, is that we can do a lot, you can do a lot in a hundred days, but you've also unfortunately revealed too much of the American media hasn’t learned the lessons of the last forty years.”

On the 29th, the White House website posted a section 100 DAYS OF HOAXES: Cutting Through the Fake News.  Here are the first three reports – there are many more:

Since President Donald J. Trump took office 100 days ago, it has been a nonstop deluge of hoaxes and lies from Democrats and their allies in the Fake News suffering from terminal cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

In no particular order, here are some of the most egregious hoaxes peddled by the usual suspects so far in President Trump’s second term. There are a bunch of them:

HOAX: Fake News CNN attempted to “fact check” President Trump’s claim that the Biden Administration spent millions on “making mice transgender.”

FACT: After their so-called “fact check” was thoroughly debunked, they were forced to update it in disgrace and admit the claim was, in fact, true.

HOAX: The Fake News claimed the Department of Defense removed Gen. Colin Powell’s name from a list of notable Americans buried at Arlington Cemetery.

FACT: No service members’ names were removed from that section — and Gen. Powell’s name remains among those listed.

HOAX: Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) claimed “no president” presided over more plane crashes during their first month in office as President Trump.

FACT: “There were 55 aviation accidents in the U.S. between Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 21, 2021, and Feb. 17, 2021, compared to 35 during the same period for Trump,” Fox News reported.

Education:  Here I would like your opinions.  It is being reported that Harvard University will be offering classes on remedial math.  Why should any college or university have such a class? It is a high school level course; cheaper there, much more expensive at the big H. 

We may have the opportunity to make high school important again.  Imagine how the importance of a high school education would be increased if some basic classes would be only offered in high school, including night school.  Of course, this is only one factor in education, but what do you think?
