Large Print? A few of my readers have informed me that they need large print newsletters. If you're one of them, please let me know and I will work out a system for you. I thought I had solved some earlier problems, but now worry that the problems were not actually solved and people just got tired of trying. Lets get this moving.
The recent Trump portraits deliver a strong message: It’s not personal, it’s strictly business.
One of Donald Trump's greater critics over the years has been CNN's Jim Acosta. Today he announced that he is quitting CNN. Upon hearing the news, Donald Trump couldn't resist criticizing him again, which I wish he had not done.
I don't think Acosta is leaving the arena. He has a massive ego, believes fully in his liberal politics and doesn’t like Donald Trump and conservatism one bit. Put this together and you may have—just maybe—the next Democrat party’s front runner. Although he’s a newscaster, the democrats have proven over these last few years that they can run ANYBODY for president, and even worse characters for congress.
Term Limits: to be clear, I do not favor changing the term limits of our president; keep it at two terms. Creating term limits for congress is impossible, but we can slow down the retention by making all federal workers, including members of congress, find their own retirement accounts.
Ratcheting Up the Disrespect: Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar criticized those democrats who attended the Trump Inauguration, saying that Trump should be shown no respect for his dismantling of democracy. Then John Stewart, in a conversation with Brooke Harrington, pointed out all the rich people that attended the Inauguration and said its nothing but crony capitalism. They referred to it as a “broligarchy.”
Because Trump is returning to our constitutional design and seeking to get us out of debt, the democrats cannot fight him on those terms. So, they go to their old reliable: find the victims and criticize the opposition. Treat the republicans like people who married their siblings, like their congresswoman did.
The remarks in the website following the Stewart-Harrington interview reveal the power they are generating with their gossip. They are focusing on the difference between economic classes—as good communists will do.
The democrats are not going down without a fight; they are just waiting for the weather to get warmer.
Steve
