On Friday’s opening day of Congress, the democrats started the latest chapter of their war against our republic. The representative of the Virgin Islands, Stacey Plaskett, asked why representatives from the US Territories are not allowed to vote for speaker of the house. She knew already; it has been in the rules for many years. But her theatrics were the cue for the democrats in the chamber to quickly rise to emphatically applaud her protest. She then went into a harangue about the matter and refused to yield, causing the leadership to cut off her microphone.
Obviously, this speech was planned by their party, right down to the standing ovation and the disrespect shown for the authority figures of the Congress (the disrespect is very important in their political energy). As Trump wants us to return to our constitutional design, the democrats are attacking our constitutional foundation.
Get ready for more of this.
It is likely that the democrats (and their accommodating media) will be setting up groups and protests to grant statehood for various districts and territories, such as Puerto Rico and Washington DC, thereby giving the House and Senate more democrat members. This is about power, not fairness.
What good are these territories to the US? (I’m open to opinions here) I suggest that we give all those territories their independence and stop sending them money; let them fend for themselves. As a goodbye present we could send them gift certificates for Babbel, so they can learn Mandarin Chinese.
How many democrat members of congress will not attend Trump’s inauguration? Several have already claimed they will be somewhere else. Good. Stay home…for the next four years.
Happy 71st birthday to my brother, Paul! He, and his new knee, are doing well!
John Eastman, one of Donald Trump’s attorneys, is fighting back against the lawfare attacks on his professional and personal life.
Here I cite Mark Ingrassia, from his Substack newsletter, which provides links to the movie that opens on January 6; it has an advance premiere at Mar-a-Lago today.

John Eastman, the Claremont Institute scholar and conservative firebrand who stood by President Trump’s side all throughout some of the darkest days in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election when the republic was on the line, will have his story told for the first time on the silver screen come the new year. The documentary, titled The Eastman Dilemma: Lawfare or Justice, is slated for a fitting January 6th, 2025, release date, the fourth anniversary of the January 6th demonstration (but will premiere at Mar-a-Lago in a special event two days earlier). The film marks the culmination of a years-long ordeal that has seen Eastman, once universally revered as a foremost authority in constitutional construction and history, targeted by one of the most ruthless and sustained lawfare campaigns against any attorney in American history. Eastman, alongside former US Assistant Attorney General Jeff Clark and Mayor Rudy Giuliani, were systematically maligned, censured, and even disbarred for simply arising to a timeless call of both client and their profession by providing legal representation.
Eastman’s story is harrowing – and forebodes much darker times to come if we do not provide a radical course correction to the current state of affairs.
President Trump must address the abuse of our law enforcement and legal systems with all his energy. I expect him to help John Eastman’s case.
Already, Trump’s future Deputy Chief of Staff, Stephen Miller, has sent letters to hundreds of elected officials in sanctuary states and cities explaining to them how they must comply with efforts to round up illegal aliens, threatening them with racketeering charges and liabilities to various lawsuits. Well, all elected officials do swear an oath to our Constitution; there’s the justification.
60-70’s Musical Break: I believe one of the more beautiful songs, from its first note to its last, was by the Supremes, “Some Day We’ll Be Together.” If you go to the Wikipedia article, you will find it has quite a history. Enjoy it here

The Last Hurrah: In an effort to sanctify their corruption and legal abuses, President Biden handed out seventeen Presidential Medals of Freedom to some very unremarkable people, a few celebrities, and a couple of very undeserving people: Hillary Clinton and George Soros, a man whose donations support leftist causes.
As the name of the award denotes, the honorees are determined by whoever is the president; what should we expect from Joe Biden?
Question: Is it ok to start drinking as soon as the kids get to school, or does that make me a bad teacher?
Here’s to a wonderful Sunday!
