It is time that we properly present the true nature of today’s democrat party. This gets a bit nerdy, but the information I deliver here is important, especially after the attacks waged against the main sponsor of terrorism tonight.
The only democratic feature about today’s democrat party is the name. Over the last few years, it has come under the spell of new management, consisting of a team that shows no respect for our constitutional form of government. They are a political faction that has been constantly changing the course of our republic by increasing federal government involvement in areas that should be the responsibility of states—and wildly funding the most speculative offices and organs of government.
Founding Father James Madison defined a faction quite well in Federalist Paper #10. He explains it as a group of citizens who are united and actuated by some common impulse of passion, or of interest adverse to the rights of other citizens, or to the permanent and aggregate interests of the community.
The keyword here is adverse. Their purpose is to alter things away from the Constitution’s design.
The Democrat party was my choice for many years. I was a service brat, born at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, and traveled to several states and the Canal Zone in Panama; I was there for the Cuban missile scare. It was then that President Kennedy solidified my young impression that the Democrat Party was my party.
As I served my five years in the Air Force, I began to notice the party drifting from its original roots, but this was during the Nixon and Watergate years, so the Democratic Party was still the better choice. But, after a couple of years, I noticed that President Carter was more of a figurehead than a serious executive. Ronald Reagan followed him, giving our nation a master’s course on the proper execution of the duties of the President.
George H.W. Bush, not George Bush 41, lacked Reagan’s charisma but understood the necessity of being a strong executive. He properly managed the Gulf War by turning the mission over to the military (with no political interference) and giving them a clear objective: to free Kuwait. The trouble was that once Kuwait was freed from Iraqi forces, the coalition disbanded, leaving the bad guy, Saddam Hussein, still in power.
More trouble in the Middle East was sure to follow because the symptoms were cared for, but the disease persisted.
Enter Bill Clinton, the most politically gifted con artist since Lyndon B. Johnson. Bill and Hillary could probably recite Niccolo Machiavelli’s The Prince in reverse. That man knew how to manipulate the system by offering favors from the treasury, continually praising his successes, and viciously attacking his political opponents.
Several elements contributed to Clinton’s success; I will list a few here:
1. Aggressive offensive activities. James Carville became a ubiquitous presence on the airwaves and news media, attacking everything that questioned Clinton’s presidency. He did not just defend Clinton; he attacked any criticism in the rudest terms possible.
2. Continual castigation of any unfriendly political group, especially conservatives.
3. Offers to the voters of government benefits, such as universal health care. Remember them holding up a health care credit card? Good promotion!
4. Cleaning out the bureaucracy of all old appointments and installing his people, often changing appointed positions to jobs of standard federal employment, protecting them from being replaced by the next president.
5. The incredible success of new technologies that had nothing to do with Clinton, such as the creation and growth of the computer market, cell phone industries, software, etc., all of which led to a balanced budget, giving the voter a false sense of good management by the Clinton presidency.
6. The creation of frivolous lawsuits against the medical profession that created a circuit of campaign donations to the democrat party, driving up the cost of health care and paving the way for eventual government control.
7. Clinton mastered the art of playing the victim, claiming that conservatives had no truth detector while he lied about all his abuses in the office. After his presidency, he became the richest former president in our nation’s history, while claiming he was poor.
My enumeration of these qualities is because Clinton taught his party some critical lessons in political management, which they are using today.
George W. Bush (43) entered office with determined opposition from the Democrats—and their accommodating media—who had years of training under the Clintons. Despite beating out Al Gore, the quick charge from the liberal media was that W was stupid. They continually maligned him and challenged all his appointments, gumming up his attempts to act as President.
W is a veteran, a pilot who flew supersonic fighter aircraft for years. I’ve talked to him a few times; he’s not stupid, but that is how the leftists played him.
Then, with the election of Barack Obama, the Faction took full flight; the traditional democrat party had drawn its last breath. Obviously, Obama’s resume was void of any executive experience, but that did not matter because he was a charismatic teleprompter reader. That, plus his racial features and the vacuous sales pitch of hope & change, provided our nation with the first fill-in-the-blanks president.
Obama also provided the first fill-in-the-blanks Nobel Peace Prize. His charisma mattered more than his competence or achievements.
Days before his election, Obama said that our nation would be fundamentally transformed. To some people, that was wonderful! To others, it was an admission that Obama’s oath of office would be a blatant lie. His Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, joined in this partnership of perjury, with her private email server and Clinton Foundation money laundering machine.
The faction began their transformation by adopting the old Clinton plan for national healthcare. The public was reeling from the costs that the trial attorneys’ lawsuits had inflicted on innocent doctors, and they jumped at the hope & change offered by the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
It turned out to be a pack of lies; you could not keep your doctor if you liked him.
The mainstream media quashed the fact that our federal government’s seizing control over a fifth of this nation’s businesses was the very definition of a fascist grab for power. Despite this fact, a group called Antifa appeared and then rioted in several cities, falsely claiming that the republicans were fascist. Black Lives Matter protesters then rioted against the projected racism of the republicans. Other protest groups appeared, including No-ICE, Defund the police, and various Occupy What-evers. All these active groups were reminiscent of the Nazi brown shirts, the semi-violent groups that caused trouble to help Adolph’s political desires.
In the 2020 election, every major reporting network readied itself for the coronation of our first woman president, Hillary Clinton. But as election night moved on, the reality of her loss and the loss of the new fascism consumed the character of the once-dignified party; it was replaced with anger and a need for revenge. From that point on, the campaign of hatred against President Trump began, and the Democrat party became an official anti-American faction. Some federal agencies joined them.
Biden’s presidency was the worst in our nation’s history. He, or whoever pulled his strings, waged war on our Constitution.
DOGE has provided proof of the massive corruption that infected the US Government agencies, showing the reasons why the faction continues to fight so hard against Trump. The ridiculous impeachments, the worthless Mueller Investigation, the corrupt filing of criminal charges against Trump, and the assassination attempts were just the start. Now, illegal immigrants are defended by the faction in Congress and in riots, as it claims that Trump wishes to be a king and uses his executive powers for personal reasons instead of national security and the proper role as the President.
Does this sound like the party of JF Kennedy? Not one bit. It is a faction.
Bear in mind that all members of Congress and all government employees take an oath to the Constitution, but only a few honor their words.
Now, after the attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites, I pose a question: Who hates Trump more? The government of Iran? Or today’s fascist demoncrats?
Thank You, Adri: Some of you may be aware that I worked as a photographer for USA Basketball for over 30 years, primarily handling administrative photos, including passports, team pictures, and individual portraits. I was on a first-name basis with many of the coaches, but a few became personal friends. My friendship with Pat Summit, the coach of the University of Tennessee women’s basketball team, and our Gold Medal-winning 1984 Olympic coach, was a true friendship.
One of our long-time readers, Adri, mailed a small book to me that had many of Pat’s sayings. The book focused on her work at the University, so none of my photos were in the book, but it brought back many good memories of a wonderful time in my life.
Her University team was known as the Lady Vols. With antics of the today’s WNBA, we now have many players playing the thugball of their male counterparts. I wish they didn’t do that.
Have a wonderful Sunday! Steve
