Politics and An Old Flute

New political developments are revealing the enormity of a corrupt political machine that has been feeding off our tax dollars for decades.

Do remember years ago when Donald Trump claimed that the FBI was spying on his presidential campaign? I remember it well, because I then believed that DT was showing signs of paranoia, but it turned out that Trump was not only right, but that a massive political force was opposed to his gaining the presidency and would do anything—anything!—to stop his gaining the power of the executive office.

Trump’s spy claim turned out to be a world-class understatement, for the FBI wasn’t just spying on him, many of its agents were organized to stop Trump’s winning.  FBI Director James Comey was part of the conspiracy, now his daughter, Maurene Comey, has entered the political mix.

Ms. Comey was a senior trial counsel at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. She was terminated from her position last week by the Department of Justice. She handled the trial against Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein, and Sean Diddy Combes.

She had access to all the evidence concerning the Epstein case, causing some concerns with its content. Was any deleted? Was any created?

But the real concern was her last name, Comey.  It is obvious that the Department of Justice is building a case against James Comey, so having his daughter working in the government offices posed a security concern.  Everybody knew she had to find new employment.  I would recommend CNN, but their viewership has collapsed to a point where she might have to pay to work for them.

Meanwhile, the Potomac waters around Washington DC are receding in preparation for an upcoming political tsunami.  Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s release of information yesterday 7/18/2025 has set the foundation for a charge against the Obama administration of sedition at the minimum, and possibly treason at the max. This damaging graphic, which shows the course of events in political attacks against a sitting president, was posted yesterday:

This is akin to a criminal indictment, released to the public, thereby testing the news services for their authenticity in reporting and investigative prowess.

Let’s see how they handle this.

Funny thing is that Trump is on a run of winning lawsuits against fake media reporting; he just threatened the Wall Street Journal. Fake news is starting to become expensive.

Meanwhile, the media is taking some heavy hits.  National Public Radio is losing its government funding, some thirty years after I believed it should have.  NPR is very good at camouflaging their political bias by creating a drone of objectivity and intelligence while presenting their news in a classy style.  I enjoyed their programming and presentations, while cringing at their bias and selective reporting.

They don’t need government money. If Hillsdale College can be successful without government funding, National Public Radio can do the same, just don’t give a slot to Stephen Colbert.

The same Stephen Colbert’s late night show was cancelled because of its losses, some $40 million and $50 million a year — the network claims politics had nothing to do with it.  Cobert was making $15 million each year despite those losses. But CBS refuses to link their losses with the political content of the show.  It wasn’t funny and wasn’t entertaining.  The advertisers were not willing to fund the show, so Colbert loses his paycheck.

It is times like this that I wonder where the money came from to finance those losses.  After all the DOGE cuts, was some of that funding circling around to support these ridiculous shows?

Meanwhile, Greg Gutfeld is the late-night leader in news entertainment; I’m sensing that mainstream networks are realizing that market is open to competition. First, they must get rid of the leftist losers, then find a conservative who can bring in some advertising dollars. I’m sure that some of the big names will be willing to grab a slot on a major network. After all, the Fox network has too many blondes.

This picture is of a friend of mine, a luthier named Jeff Loen, holding a very old wooden flute that once belonged to my grandfather, Zygmunt Maikoski.  Jeff said that he will attempt at repairing it.  More on this later….

The photo on the right is of a musical group from Poland around 1919; Zygmunt is on the left, back row, holding the flute to his lips.  He was also a gymnast, professionally a tool maker.  He married in Chicago in 1924; the Clerk of the Court, who signed the marriage license, was Richard J. Daley.

This weekend’s news promises to be exciting.
