Where Are The Militias?
The best laugh I’ve had today was when I read that President Trump said that he might revoke Rosie O’Donnell’s U.S. citizenship, adding that she should stay in Ireland. I doubt if Trump will do that, but I wonder if Ireland would let her stay. Who wants her?
Epstein Gambit: The media is driving up the rhetoric for the release of the Epstein flight logs, with some insisting that President Trump had gone to the Island and he wishes to hide that information.
Former bartender Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, oops, I mean New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is being accused of defaming President Donald Trump by calling him a "rapist" on social media. Fox News reported that AOC wrote on her X feed:
"Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?" Ocasio-Cortez posted to X on Friday. She appeared to be referencing the 2023 civil trial leveled against Trump by writer E. Jean Carroll. A jury found Trump liable of sexual assault, but not of rape, which critics of Ocasio-Cortez repeatedly cited in their condemnation of her use of the word "rapist."
I doubt Trump visited the island, but this push for pre-trial release of the records is a solid political and marketing ploy that has nothing to do with prosecuting the guilty; it may help them!
The public assumption will be that if anybody went to the Island, they did something perverted and illegal. Maybe they did, maybe not. But if that information is released, the media coverage will blanket every news hour possible, thereby poisoning the jury pool and damaging reputations without convictions, which will open opportunities for lawsuits against the federal government for releasing the information. Many of the guilty will likely walk because of the inability to get a fair trial.
Some of the best Hollywood writers may be developing scripts for the actors who did go to the Island, of course, for the bird watching, tanning, poker games, and fishing.
Let us be patient. We need convictions. Let law enforcement handle this, not politicians, and not the creepy news media.
There is another possibility in this news: Trump’s Department of Justice is close to arresting some important people in the political arena and charging them with serious crimes. So, the leftists are trying to build up the distrust of the president.
I trust this will happen; it is why I bought a new jar of Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn. By the way, I met him years ago in Chicago.
• President Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Benjamin Netanyahu, who said that Trump has “demonstrated steadfast and exceptional dedication to promoting peace, security, and stability around the world.” That is quite a change from Obama’s Hope & Change award for doing nothing, or Arafat’s terrorist group’s honors. Back then, someone had forgotten that Peace was the spirit of the award.
Barack Obama donated his honorarium, some $1.4 million, to several charities, including the Fisher House and the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund for earthquake relief. The Fisher House provides free rooms for families who wish to be with military members who are receiving care for injuries of war. It is a worthwhile donation. But any fund with Clinton’s name on it promises to have some percentage going to their version of the big guy…if it’s a guy.
• Political leftists, actually communist infiltrators from MoveOn dot org, are planning a series of protests, marches, and rallies on July 26, 2025; they entitle it “Families First.”
What follows here are the instructions they are emailing to their supporters. Despite the lies, half-truths and mischaracterizations, I cannot think of any conservative group that works this well, especially the last item on this list:
• Millions of people can come together to tell Trump and Congress that we see what they’re doing to our ability to support our families, and we won’t stand for it.
• The Supreme Court just gave Trump a green light to restart his government layoff spree, with plans to reinstate layoffs in 17 agencies that had been paused by the courts. The State Department has already announced plans to cut nearly 20% of its workforce in the coming days.
• Trump’s administration has frozen $6.2 billion in Department of Education funding, affecting public schools’ ability to function nationwide.
• People are working hard—often two and three jobs—and we should be able to count on good schools, accessible health care, and a growing economy. Instead, our government is undermining our efforts at every turn in order to enrich billionaires and Donald Trump himself.
• After a despicable vote on Trump’s awful budget bill on July 3, Republicans are trying to press “reset” on their constituents and pretend they didn’t just hand a $4.5 trillion tax cut to the mega-rich that explodes the national debt, slashes health care for millions of people, and abandons working families.
• They have been given their marching orders by the Trump administration: Make outlandish and false claims about what the bill will do for middle-class Americans while downplaying the harm
• Each of these protests—from Hands Off! to No Kings to Stop ICE—has been building our power, and we need to ensure that our July 26 protest is a success.
• To ensure everyone feels prepared and all events are safe and successful, MoveOn and our partners will be hosting virtual trainings on Zoom, providing written guides, and giving on-demand support to help hosts get the word out about the event in their community, reach out to local leaders who might speak at their events, rent microphones and equipment, and even reach out to the local press.
So here I pose a question: Where are the organized counter-protests, the ones that will support the MAGA movement? We need thousands of Kyle Rittenhouse’s to face off with these troglodyte leftists. But no organization is offering a coach for such a meeting. They fear lawsuits if they do.
It reminds me of the old joke about God threatening to sue Satan, who replied, “Wonderful, where are you going to find a lawyer? All are mine!”
