Perhaps some of you have watched the show Homicide Hunter, a documentary hosted by former homicide investigator Joe Kenda. His witty commentary made the shows very interesting, at times funny; one of his favorite quips was “My, my, my…..” followed by a hilarious understatement concerning a perp’s intelligence.

Now I get to copy Joe.

Trump’s new orders have collapsed the DEI movement, giving authorities the power to enforce the law instead of tap dancing around the attorneys and their pathetic judges. So, seeing the perps’ faces when they realize they are going to jail is my own, My, my, my moment. You must pay for your crime instead of attending yoga classes.

There are several videos on YouTube of juveniles in court who were smiling and mugging it up for their friends, then suddenly changing their behavior when the judge tells them that they will be charged as adults for their crimes.

Hey kids, things have changed. No Bail. You are staying in jail.

The mob attack against two individuals in Cincinnati has gotten serious attention from prosecutors, who indicted all six suspects on eight charges each: three counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault, and two counts of aggravated riot. If prosecuted on all counts, they could be in jail for almost thirty years.

My, my, my, you thought the beatdown was free…

As I write this, President Trump is federalizing the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC.. Earlier, Fox News reported:

Trump described D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser – who publicly clashed with Trump during the George Floyd riots in 2020 – "a good person who has tried, but she has been given many chances, and the Crime Numbers get worse, and the City only gets dirtier and less attractive."

"The American Public is not going to put up with it any longer," the president wrote.

"Just like I took care of the Border, where you had ZERO Illegals coming across last month, from millions the year before, I will take care of our cherished Capital, and we will make it, truly, GREAT AGAIN! Before the tents, squalor, filth, and Crime, it was the most beautiful Capital in the World. It will soon be that again. Thank you for your attention to this matter — See you tomorrow at 10 A.M.!"

In his announcement, President Trump was emphatic about making Washington, D.C., a beautiful city where everyone could be safe. Jeanine Pirro, the US Attorney for D.C., followed his address by explaining the frustrations of young gangs committing crimes and walking away from any punishment because they are under 18 years of age. I will include her remarks in a bit; they are very good!

Later on in the day, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said Trump’s actions were not warranted, and explained that crime was down and that things were safer; then she explained that the city needed to become a state so it could have the proper representation in Congress. Of course, her statistics are not realistic, but they sounded good enough for soundbites on the liberal media.

Far leftist group MoveOn.org was quick to defend the criminals and attack law enforcement efforts:

"In a disturbing and blatant abuse of power, President Donald Trump is stoking violence against our communities by weaponizing the U.S. military against everyday people. He is planning a hostile federal takeover of our nation’s capital—seizing the city's police department and deploying 800+ National Guard troops to descend upon the residents."

The Democrats are supporting the wrong people.

Jeanine Pirro’s remarks explained the frustration experienced by many who lived in the DC area, especially those in law enforcement:

“And I’m not going to stand here and go over and over the cases, but what I can tell you is this. I see too much violent crime being committed by young punks who think that they can get together in gangs and crews and beat the hell out of you or anyone else. They don’t care where they are; they can be in Dupont Circle, but they know that we can’t touch them. Why? Because the laws are weak. I can’t touch you if you’re 14, 15, 16, 17 years old and you have a gun.

I convict someone of shooting another person with an illegal gun on a public bus in the chest! Intent to kill? I convict him, and you know what the judge gives him? Probation! Says you should go to college!

We need to go after the DC council and their absurd laws. We need to get rid of this concept of no cash bail. We need to recognize that the people who matter are the law-abiding citizens.

It starts today. But it’s not going to end today, because the president is going to do everything we need to do to make sure that these emboldened criminals understand we see you, we’re watching you, and we’re going to change the law to catch you.

And my final note is this: These kids understand that the jurisdiction is through the state Attorney General Brian Schwab. I did a poster of the young man from DOGE who is beaten bloody with a severe concussion, a broken nose, and then I did a poster of what happens to those kids, cause I can’t arrest them. I can’t prosecute them. They go to family court and they get to do yoga and arts and crafts. Enough! It changes today.

Thank you, Mr. President!

The White House press room has produced some good moments lately. When children were invited, one asked Karoline Leavitt what her most disfavored news outlet was. She laughed, slapped the lectern, then said, “It depends on the day!” Hours later, President Trump was asked about the new plans for the ballroom, why couldn’t he upgrade the press room? Trump laughed, then said he didn’t want the press to be comfortable.

As this letter ends, I must admit it has been a rough weekend. Just before I started celebrating my birthday on Saturday, I learned late Friday night that one of my long-time best friends had died; he was my age! I knew he was having problems, but a strange emptiness followed me the entire weekend. I’m sure you understand.

After today’s events in Washington, DC, I’m sure this will be an incredible week!

Steve
