Prepping for Socialism
It is interesting that Maine’s Senate candidate Graham Platner stayed in the running despite having an old Nazi SS tattoo that embraced death, but the allegations of his being a rapist were enough for him to abandon his candidacy. It was the allegations that did that, not the prosecution, not a preponderance of evidence, but just the charges that he had done it.
With this event, the Democrats are laying a foundation for future actions. Consider this: How many times have they accused Republicans of rape, especially if they are against nominees to the Supreme Court? The Democrats are now setting the stage for the idea that an accusation alone is enough to warrant dismissal.
This week, a major what-the-hell-is-going-on? event popped up when Senator Mitch McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, flew to China while her hubby was hospitalized. Rumor is that (remember, it’s a rumor) he is on life support, as much of a zombie as he was in his last years in the Senate.
Former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said, “We long believed that Chao was a Chinese asset. They don't get to choose when and where they go when the call comes. They just go.”
Chao’s having to go there personally is telling; her calls and visitors cannot be logged, and she can take all sorts of information with her. Wait. Perhaps I’m wrong. She may have gone there to buy some exotic Chinese medicines to help Mitch.
On July 4, I gave speech to the people at Quartzsite, Arizona. I was prepared, but as I started my speech and would look at the audience, then the computer, then the video display, then back to the computer to maintain my tempo, my mental presence abated; I started to get confused.
I started rushing my presentation without realizing it. I missed some of my notes. I lost my place a couple of times. I missed the ending, which I had added a couple of hours earlier.
As I drove home, I wondered what had happened; why the change? So I started reading about my medications; I found that the side effects of one of my prescriptions were confusion and trouble concentrating; another from the same med was bad dreams; I’ve had only one bad dream, but many intense ones since I started this medication. The muscle relaxer for my back pain may have had an effect as well.
Today I decided to no longer speak to groups. Welcome to old age, Steve. On August 9, I turn seventy-seven, and I consider myself lucky to be in the shape I’m in.
As Independence Day approached, I had some interesting exchanges on the Internet. From those experiences, I know that the leftist-democrats are not the least bit interested in objective dialogue or fact-finding, but have been preparing the way for their version of communism, which they call democratic socialism.
The first step is complete: Obamacare. For those of you who were not tuned into how the Clinton presidency paved the way, please let me explain. Their presidential campaign focused on government healthcare. Bill and Hillary would stand in front of the crowds, holding what looked like a healthcare credit card, claiming that it would provide free healthcare for everybody. I must admit that the credit card visual was a very effective sales pitch.
But in their presidency, trial attorneys were filing frivolous lawsuits against doctors and various healthcare systems. At the outset, it was cheaper for the doctors to settle the lawsuit rather than fight it. But that started to change as the numbers increased. As the proceeds from the lawsuits piled up, they found their way into campaign donations to Democrats, who stopped legislative proposals to address the frivolous lawsuits against doctors. Because of this, healthcare costs kept rising, along with paperwork and reduced care.
This paved the way for the so-called Affordable Care Act—the government controlling the health care industry, which is the first step to socialism, or worse.
President Biden’s opening of the borders and cancellation of energy projects were designed to affect all the other services of our government and drive up the cost of every house, apartment, insurance policy, food item, and energy bill. These increased costs affect the lower-income people disproportionately, enticing them to the seductions of socialism, a caring government that furnishes everything….at first.
So, the faction that now controls the democrat party hopes for one thing right now, that is gaining the majority in the House of Representatives. From there, they will tie up the federal government and subject our nation to a tsunami of impeachments. Many political writers believe that the numbers aren’t there for the Democrats, but they are really good at cheating.
The march toward socialism has been a long-term goal of the Democrat party, but it is not for the people; it’s for the party. In a socialist government, managers and politicians are given tremendous power, benefits, and wealth. They can distribute benefits as they see fit, and can easily expand their powers as they wish.
President Trump has said that he understands what the Democrats are up to; if so, he’s got a plan. I believe the easiest part, for now, is enforcing the Oath of Office, in which members of Congress swear to uphold the Constitution.
That’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend!
Steve
