I need to start this newsletter out with an important legal note. The issue over birthright citizenship depends on one important phrase in the 14th amendment. It gives citizenship to a child born of a person who is "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" in the state which they reside. In other words, if they are already a legal resident of the state.
At some point, some judge claimed that this phrase meant that just by their presence, they have to obey the traffic laws and such, like everyone else, which opened the door for illegal immigrants and anchor babies. Of course, he did not take into account the fact that they were here illegally, therefore not obeying the laws of the jurisdiction.
Remember those words: Subject to the jurisdiction thereof.
If you are at a computer, go to whitehouse.gov and watch how it has changed.
Taking Care of Business: From what was in DJT’s address, everyone realized that Trump has planned his new presidency with the competence of a man familiar with constructing high-rise buildings, paying close attention to the complexities of every facet in the new Executive office he has been creating.
Trump is realigning our government to its designed constitutional course, necessitating massive changes.
In his speech he detailed the corruption and the constitutional incompetence of the Biden team, while both the former executive and his veep sat silently and listened. I was a bit surprised that Kamala didn’t rise and leave, or that Joe didn’t stink up the stage.
As his speech continued, Trump let Biden’s federal minions know that their minutes in government service were limited. Then, BOOM! This morning they found they were unemployed, proving that Trump learned a valuable lesson from his first stint as chief executive: get the rats off your ship of state!
Will those federal positions be replenished? Not soon, if at all. Since one of Trump’s new Executive Orders (EO’s) was of a federal hiring freeze, the necessity of those jobs will now be measured. Call this the first test of that new government efficiency and accountability office.
Biden’s stack of presidential pardons uncovers two very important courses to investigate; first, it confirms the corruption of the Biden clan; second, it confirms the corruption inherent in the government system that was involved in those deals, from the foreign aid scams to the weaponization of every possible federal bureau.
In one of his first EO’s, Trump stopped all foreign aid for 90 days.
Can the Biden’s carte blanche pardons stand up to legal scrutiny? Since the documents didn’t identify the crime being pardoned, they are more of an inoculation than a pardon, and our Constitution grants no such power. Biden’s action of claiming a person is above the law is closer to granting a title of nobility than a pardon, and such titles are expressively forbidden by our Constitution.
It is likely that these pardons will be tested all the way to the Supreme Court.
When Trump started talking about the Panama Canal, he explained the problem of increased Chinese influence over the canal and of the Panamanian government not honoring contractual agreements. These few remarks should shake up the political system in that small country; obviously, that is his intent…..for now.
Zing! A video has surfaced of Baron Trump privately saying something to outgoing President Biden. Whatever Baron said, it wiped the smile off Biden’s face.
The Name Game: changing the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America may be a slick way to avoid Joe Biden’s ban of oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Hey, that place doesn’t exist any more! Let’s Drill!
Some people suggested that the Gulf of the Americas has a better sound.
Other renaming ideas: return to the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Bullets, Washington Senators, Stanford Indians and the Cleveland Indians. Return military bases to their original names, such as Fort Liberty back to Fort Bragg.
Rename the Department of Education to the Department of Indoctrination, then close it.
Return Thomas Jefferson’s name to all the schools who changed because he owned slaves. Bring back the statues.
Rename Harry Reid’s airport back to McCarran Field. Get back to Columbus Day.
And..
Take Robert Byrd’s name from all the buildings and projects that bear his name, because he was a member of the Ku Klux Klan. I doubt that any leftist will protest that, but who knows with their current mob.
No Love Lost: a relative of Nancy Pelosi had a new nickname for former First Lady Jill Biden: Lady McBiden, playing off the character in a Shakespeare play. Out Damn Spot….!
Have a wonderful day!
Steve
