47’s first 48 The Constitutionist The Constitutionist Free Newsletter Items, Opinions and News Gathered From Everywhere By Steven Maikoski Author: The Real Constitution and its Real Enemies I need to start this newsletter out with an important legal note. The issue over birthright citizenship depends on one important phrase in the 14th amendment.  It gives citizenship to a child born of a person who is "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" in the state which they reside. In other words, if they are already a legal resident of the state.   At some point, some judge claimed that this phrase meant that just by their presence, they have to obey the traffic laws and such, like everyone else, which opened the door for illegal immigrants and anchor babies.  Of course, he did not take into account the fact that they were here illegally, therefore not obeying the laws of the jurisdiction.   Remember those words:  Subject to the jurisdiction thereof. If you are at a compu...

It's not personal - It's CONSTITUTIONAL  The Constitutionist  The Constitutionist Free Newsletter. -  Items, Opinions and News Gathered From Everywhere By Steven Maikoski Author:  The Real Constitution and its Real Enemies constitutionist@protonmail.com I was seven years old when my Mother bundled us up in winter clothing and took us to President Eisenhower’s inauguration in 1957.  Even though Mom was elated with seeing the President, I remember wondering why everybody liked that old bald guy, who rode in a black car without a roof.  Getting back to our warm home was a relief.  Our babysitter, Mrs. Beyer, had been taking care of my little sister and brother while we were at the parade. Little did I know that in the following December that we would move to Panama’s Canal Zone, where we wouldn’t experience cold for another four years. Preserving the D-Lie :  In Biden’s sorrowful farewell address, he referred our democracy seven times, claiming that ...

Federalist #1 Revisited – Panama Notes January 12 As Inauguration Day approaches, I feel that we are repeating history, because over these last four years our federal government has been managed by a group that has avoided our Constitution’s design in every way it could and every day it could.  Perhaps I should be more accurate and say that they crapped over every facet of our federal government and left our nation in terrible shape.  Now, the promise of a proper, constitutional government is only a few days away. Like the light breaking over the eastern horizon from a rising sun, we see the promise of a new day in America.  Just a few more days…. Our nation has been here before, some 238 years ago.  It was then that Alexander Hamilton (whose birthday was on December 11) wrote Federalist Paper #1, a magnificent writing where he also referred to a better day.  Here are a few sections of Hamilton’s writing where I have changed just a word or two from the ori...

Burning DEI and LGBTQ January 9, 2025 The fires in Los Angeles should bring about the end of DEI and LGBTQ’s influences in politics.  The cynosure in these matters is the fire chief of Los Angeles, Kristin M. Crowley, whose hiring philosophy abandoned true competence to bring in more women and, well, more confused people who identify as something other than what God made them. Crowley is firmly gay and favors DEI hiring. Alex Jones was blatant in his criticism: “And the new, female lesbian fire chief of L.A. says my main job is bringing women in and gay people in.  “No, your main job was doing fire breaks and getting the best firefighters. But no!  You don’t do that!  Oh, we are so impressed!  You can eat pussy! We better let you burn the city down!”   Then he called her “a dumb whore!” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was on a diplomatic mission in Ghana when the fires broke out.  Ok, try to explain why a mayor of a city is on an international mis...

The Democrats Initiate Their Lawfare In Congress  The Constitutionist Free Newsletter - Items, Opinions and News Gathered From Everywhere - By Steven Maikoski  Author: The Real Constitution and its Real Enemies   constitutionist@protonmail.com January 4, 2025 On Friday’s opening day of Congress, the democrats started the latest chapter of their war against our republic. The representative of the Virgin Islands, Stacey Plaskett, asked why representatives from the US Territories are not allowed to vote for speaker of the house. She knew already; it has been in the rules for many years. But her theatrics were the cue for the democrats in the chamber to quickly rise to emphatically applaud her protest.  She then went into a harangue about the matter and refused to yield, causing the leadership to cut off her microphone. Obviously, this speech was planned by their party, right down to the standing ovation and the disrespect shown for the authority figures of the Congress ...

The Constitutionist  Free Newsletter Items, Opinions and News Gathered From Everywhere Steven Maikoski Author:  The Real Constitution and its Real Enemies constitutionist@protonmail.com January 1, 2025   Today we start writing on our checks and letters 2025, a year which holds great promise.   President Biden has said that if he had stayed in the presidential race, he would have beaten Donald Trump; it is a statement that confirms his diminished abilities. A year ago, a woman set  fire to a building that was under construction in Casper, Wyoming. The building was going to be an abortion clinic and the arsonist was anti-abortion, so some wanted the crime of arson to include a hate crime enhancement.  But it was argued that the building was a construction site, not yet an abortion clinic, so the hate crime enhancement would not be justified.  The pro-abortion people then realized the irony of their request, that by claiming the buil...

The Constitutionist Free Newsletter -- Items, Opinions and News gathered from everywhere Steven Maikoski constitutionist@protonmail.com December 26, 2024 It has been evident that President Biden has been on a cognitive decline for years.  Now we read that in the last few days this outgoing president has signed many new bills, most naming post offices and federal buildings. Who told him to sign them? My favorite of those many bills was the Eliminate Useless Reports Act, designed to cut out frivolous paperwork.  Perhaps during the four years we will have the Eliminate Useless Government Agencies Act, to do the same with government bureaus. President Biden has also commuted the death sentences of 37 convicted felons on federal death row, an act that the ACLU has pushed for months.  Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, one of the more liberal members of congress, extolled the act. In the NY Post: Pressley, 50, described the 82-year-old commander in chief’s decision to spare d...
