The Holiday Gatherings:  A Question for Those Democrat Friends

December 3, 2024

Steven Maikoski (constitutionist@protonmail.com)

During the holidays we will have some uncomfortable company, I mean those people who have lost the ability to think beyond their delusions of political supremacy. We know what I am talking about, there’s no need to labor the point.

Just before thanksgiving I started addressing political differences in a new way.  It has worked well, so I’m going to pass this along, hoping that it works as well for you.

The starting point is that most of the democrats believe they are better than the conservatives, often because they consider themselves to be smarter, better educated and more reasonable than any conservative.  I decided to cater to their feelings by using a Socratic method: ask questions.

Their self-delusion provides an opening for a question or two from a person who wants to understand their politics.  Help me understand you…

a. Do you think the democrats are perfect?     (of course not)

Follow it up with this question:

b. What is the worst thing that the democrat party is doing?

You must get an answer to this last question.  You need an answer, not a response that tries to avoid or change the subject—or any attempts to bounce the question back at you as the person tries to manipulate the dialogue.

Politics has many actions. If they are a thoughtful voter, they should have a ready answer for their party.  Sadly, most of the democrats I know are Trump haters, so I ask them to give me an answer that has nothing to do with Donald Trump.  That ties some of them up like a calf in a rodeo.

If they try to get you to answer the question first, inform them that you are trying to understand their politics, and their evasion does not help you to that end.

Keep pressing.  An intelligent person will know the problems of their party.

The best answer I’ve gotten from a democrat concerned the amount of illegal border crossers; there’s too many.  But why is that bad?  It ties into my course of argumentation.

The worst thing that the Democrats are doing is their party’s unending, increasing course of enslaving the future in horrible debt.  It is called Debt Enslavement.

The democrats are leading the stampede toward horrible debt, and it is a stampede with both parties involved. But the democrats have created, intensified and increased the speed of this stampede by corrupting politics in their process enticing voters to vote for benefits.

Let’s talk about their promises of new spending.  In the course of the last election, the democrats offered grocery price controls, expanding the child tax credit, providing first-time homebuyers with up to $25,000 for down payments, plus more generous support for first-generation homeowners, extending the $35 cap on insulin and $2,000 cap on out-of-pocket spending to all Americans, requiring Medicare to cover in-home health care, raising the minimum wage, requiring paid family leave and medical leave, providing 1 million loans to black entrepreneurs, fully forgivable up to $20,000 ; and on and on.

All of these are substantial increases of more debt enslavement. They have created so much enslavement that no other party can successfully run against them by cutting services and benefits—and this will continue until this nation wakes up.

If a person votes for the democrats, knowing this or not, they are complicit in the run of debt enslavement.  It is the new version of slavery, which the old democrat party did not want to end.

History does repeat itself.

Ask your friend why they don’t care about enslavement.

The first step in cutting out the run of debt is to bring our nation back to its constitutional design, to get rid of the agencies that duplicate the state services, such as the Department of Education.

What is the worst thing that republicans are doing?  Not fighting the debt enslavement with all their heart, not establishing English as the official language of the federal government, not establishing a law to require valid identification to vote in any election that involves federal offices; pick your favorite!
